I'm sure that got your attention!!!! We've been busy over the past few days!! I for one am feeling quite accomplished as a home maker and mom! for one I was finally able to find some affordable plants to fill my window boxes with! sorry but I wasn't willing to pay $40 at a local nursery on plants that I will most likely kill before they sit proudly on display for my neighbors to enjoy!!! I did discover my new mecca for all things amazing, Smith Marketplace...A Grocery store, hardware store, garden store, clothing and mommy fantasy land all rolled into one! Mind you the pure bliss of this experience is all taken down a notch when accompanied my two kids but you get the idea.
So there I was fighting the urge to leave my " I don't sit in carts anymore" toddler in the hamper section of Smiths when I finally made it out to the garden section! They must have heard I was coming and got out their sale stickers because there were tables and tables of still living plants all marked down to 50 cents!!!!! So $14 later, potting soil included I was well equipped to try my hand at being the next HGTV curb appeal star!
Macy and I had a good time planting even though she got more dirt on the sidewalk then in the box but it was time we spent together that made up for her flicking dirt in her three foot radius!
And now for the poop section of the post....The moment we've all been waiting for!
Little Miss Molly Blue took a dump in the potty two days ago!!!!!! It's taken this long to post about it because I've been recovering from the celebration!!! She was so sweet to tell me something was about to happen in her diaper so I quickly asked her if she wanted to sit on the potty. She's been spending a lot of time sitting on the potty with nothing to show for it but that day the potty gods must have been smiling down on her and granted her sweet success!!!! I'm sorry but there is nothing cuter then seeing your little monkey halfway falling down the toilet just after a successful bowel movement! she was so excited! she kept looking down and pointing! thankfully not touching but the joy in her eyes was priceless!!!!
I told Mike this was huge for me! it's like getting a bonus at work or a promotion. That sweet little BM is like a trophy for motherhood! Not one I'd proudly display on my mantel but you get the picture!
We had a second attempt yesterday that resulted in just barely not making it to the potty but she's catching on! Hopefully I just bought my last box of diapers!!!!
