Littel Blue Bird and a tale of 4 stitches

Once upon a time a little girl was born. She was perfect in every way! Her beauty was admired. Her tender heart adored and the only thing that she wanted for was a wee bit more balance!

Oh my poor little clumsy Blue! She is defiantly not our graceful child!Always slipping, bumping into walls and causing my heart to stop! Well it finally caught up with her!

We've been enjoying our family in town and off myself and my SIL went to a store by ourselves leaving the kids to play with Uncle Scott! Not 5 minutes into our shopping we get a call that Blue Bird has slipped on the hard wood floor and split her lip! Now trust me when I say our delicate flower has no volume control when it comes to her crying! She sounds exactly the same when she gets something taken away from her as she does if she would break her arm!!! So I was less then worried and felt bad for Scott as he tried to console her! A few minutes later a photo comes across the cell phone and again I wasn't too worried but we hurried home simple to release Scott from his duties and apologize for her inconsolable nature!

I came home to a whimpering girl with indeed a gashed up lip. I gathered her up and asked my Doctor Neighbor who was home if it looked like it needed stitches and sadly it did! To wrap it all up and get to the good stuff... After spending time at the doc's office and then hours in the ER Blue is the proud owner of her first 4 stitches! More to come I am sure!!!! It was for sure the hardest thing as a mom to have to watch. Who was there to console me?! Nothing worst then a Papoosed little girl crying for her mommy and I not being able to comfort her as I can barely see through my own tears and my voice in in a vice! WE, yes WE, made it through and have Sedation stories to laugh at now! Blue was sedated and still put up a pretty big fight! She was like the Incredible Hulk and managed to break through her leg restraints! Mike's proud of her for that accomplishment! We had to hang out almost an hour after the procedure until she was " back to normal!" YEAH RIGHT!!!! She was a drunk 2 year old into the night!

I totally did a Bad Mom thing and grabbed my camera and caught some awesome sedation trip she was on!She'll kill me I'm sure! Cricket already can't get enough of the video and has seen it 5 times today! She was so out of it and I knew I could never describe her as well as a video could to Mike! Man it was good!

She's been uncomfortable and sore and eats less then she would. It's so painful to see her like this! Today was better then yesterday! And here's the clencher... I have to take her in on Tuesday to get the stitches removed!!!!! AAHHHH!!!!! It's going to be a nightmare!

Oh little Blue, please don't ever get mad at mommy for posting that video because it gave me the best laugh I've had in awhile!

Hope you're better soon!

Luckily I just went potty before I watched this, or I may have had an accident! That's so cute/funny! Sorry you had to endure watching your baby girl go through that! I hope everything goes well with the removal process!

Poor little Molly Blue, she is such a cutie. The video made me laugh pretty hard. Give her some extra hugs from us. Bella will be so sad when she sees the video.

Poor thing! I can't even imagine having to get stitches in my lip...ouch! I can totally see why you would have cried too. I hope she feels better soon, and that video was funny!

Sweet Molly. We don't have speakers on our computer, but I was luck enough to be on Joe's laptop to hear the video, it made me laugh! I hope she's doing well!
p.s. it was fun hearing your voice too!

Oh i'm so sorry. (knock on wood) i've never had to do the stitches or ER thing with my kids. I'm sure it will happen someday but i'm not looking forward to it.

So sad! I hope the removing of the stitches wasn't as bad. The video was pretty hillarious though. How are you feeling?

Jonas had to get sedated for some fillings, he was totally acting like he had a few too many. I wished like crazy that I filmed it. He was just a floppy, slurring mess. Congrats on the future baby. I hope you are healthy and happy. Macy looks like such a big girl! We miss you at Mora Kai!

Oh poor baby! It is so dramatic for everyone. I am glad she is doing better. How sad it is, that video had me cracking up! I think you're a GOOD mom for bustin' out the camera!

I had no idea that my daughter had a twin by coordination. I swear my daughter and your daughter could get together and swap ungraceful stories together (her first was staples in the back of her head). Too bad about the lip. Those trips are never fun, are they?
